Creating workplaces where culture and capability
drive opportunity
Capability For First Nations Employment: The Alliance Masterclass Series
Building meaningful First Nations employment outcomes requires more than good intentions. It requires leadership, organisational capability and workplace practices that support lasting change.
Our Capability For First Nations Employment: The Alliance Masterclass Series is a First Nations-led annual subscription program for organisations committed to strengthening cultural capability across leadership, governance, workforce systems and organisational practice.
Delivered across four live facilitated online masterclasses across the year, the series combines national evidence, First Nations leadership and practical implementation to help organisations translate commitment into meaningful action.
Recruitment is only the beginning
Many organisations are genuinely committed to improving First Nations employment outcomes through Reconciliation Action Plans, Indigenous employment strategies and broader workforce priorities.
However, lasting change requires more than policies, targets or one-off training.
The First Nations Employment Index 2025 found that employers continue to face challenges across retention, career development, cultural safety and pathways to leadership.
Organisations need the leadership capability, workplace systems and practical tools to create environments where First Nations people feel culturally safe, respected and supported to develop, progress and lead.
The Series helps organisations understand what the evidence means for their workplace and what they can do differently.

How the Masterclass Series works
The Capability For First Nations Employment: The Alliance Masterclass Series is an annual subscription designed to build capability across leadership, workforce systems and workplace culture.
The masterclasses build on one another while also standing alone. This gives participants a connected learning experience across the year while allowing organisations to join at different stages.
Your annual subscription includes:
- Four three-hour, live facilitated online masterclasses
- Participation for up to three people from your organisation
- Flexible attendance options
- Access to recordings when participants are unable to attend live
- Evidence-informed tools and implementation guides
- Quarterly updates featuring policy developments, national research, sector insights and practical resources
- Access to a subscriber portal containing program resources
Four masterclasses delivered across the year
01
Positioning Cultural Capability
Understand your organisation’s current position, identify gaps and establish clear priorities for building cultural capability.
02
Cultural Safety in Practice
Turn cultural safety principles into everyday workplace practice. Explore psychosocial risks, racism and exclusion, and identify practical actions your organisation can take.
03
Inclusive Employment Pathways
Identify barriers within job design and recruitment and apply practical tools to support more inclusive and culturally responsive employment pathways.
04
Leadership Accountability in Practice
Strengthen accountability through organisational systems, workforce planning, retention strategies and meaningful leadership measures.
Designed for shared organisational learning
This is not one-off training for one person.
Your subscription includes participation for up to three people from your organisation at each masterclass, allowing leaders from different roles or business areas to learn together and drive coordinated organisational change.
The Series will help your organisation:
- Strengthen leadership accountability and decision-making
- Embed cultural capability into organisational systems and practice
- Improve cultural and psychological safety
- Create more inclusive recruitment pathways
- Strengthen retention and career progression
- Support your Reconciliation Action Plan and broader commitments
- Engage more confidently with First Nations employees, organisations and communities
- Measure progress and sustain change over time
The focus is on building knowledge and capability your organisation can continue to apply after each masterclass.
